Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Home Service Studios ("we," "us," "our") and the website design, development, and hosting services we provide (the "Service"). By signing up for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Home Service Studios designs, builds, and hosts websites for home service businesses (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and similar trades). We offer three plans — Starter, Growth, and Pro — each with a different set of features, described on our Pricing page. Feature availability may change over time as we improve the Service.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
You must provide accurate business and contact information when signing up. You're responsible for keeping your account and payment information up to date, and for any activity that happens under your account.
3. Free Trial
Every new subscription starts with a 30-day free trial of our Growth-tier features, regardless of the plan you select. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but you will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged — see our Cancellation Policy for details.
4. Billing & Subscriptions
After your free trial ends, your subscription automatically renews and bills monthly at the rate for your selected plan (currently $99/month for Starter, $299/month for Growth, or $499/month for Pro), until you cancel. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details ourselves. Prices may change with advance notice — continuing to use the Service after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time, with no contracts and no cancellation fees. See our full Cancellation Policy for how cancellation affects billing and what happens to your site afterward.
6. Refunds
Because you're never charged until your free trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then, we generally don't offer refunds for subscription charges already billed. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@home-service-studios.com and we'll work it out with you directly.
7. Your Content & Ownership
You retain ownership of your business's content, branding, photos, and information that you provide to us. While your subscription is active, we host and maintain the website we build for you. If you cancel, see the Cancellation Policy for how long your site and its content remain available before removal.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your business, or to upload content you don't have the right to use. We reserve the right to suspend service for accounts that violate this.
9. Service Availability
We work to keep sites we host online and performing well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We're not liable for downtime caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including issues with third-party providers we rely on for hosting and infrastructure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Home Service Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you (for example, by email). Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
